Juvederm Voluma is the newest member to the Juvederm family. Voluma corrects volume loss in the midface by augementing the cheek area. It will also help lift any sagging skin in the lower face. Juvederm ™ was approved in 2006 by the FDA as a safe option for softening wrinkles, plumping lips, and maintaining a youthful appearance – and since then, its popularity has skyrocketed.*
The Juvederm™ procedure is simple, long-lasting, and requires minimal recovery time. Juvederm™ uses hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in our bodies and absorbs 1,000 times its weight in water. When this is injected into the problem areas of the face, it adds volume to the area, smoothing out wrinkles, lines and folds.*
Hyaluronic acid has also been found to maintain or even accelerate the forming of new collagen. Our clients have been thrilled with the results, which are rapidly visible and can last up to one year.*

What Is Juvederm™ Injectible Gel?
As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. But, with Juvederm™ injectible gel, you don’t have to just sit back and let it happen!
Recently approved by the FDA, Juvederm™ injectible gel is a “next-generation” dermal filler. The smooth consistency gel helps restore your skin’s volume and smoothen facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds-the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).*
What Is Juvederm™ Injectible Gel made of?
Juvederm™ is made of hyaluronic acid-a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration.
What are the Benefits of Juvederm™ Injectible Gel?
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers like Juvederm™ offer a safe and effective non-surgical option for smoothing facial wrinkles and folds. In fact, they are the fastest growing non-surgical aesthetic procedure in the United States according to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
- Juvederm™ is a “next-generation” dermal filler that is made from hyaluronic acid-a substance
that naturally occurs in the skin and plays a vital role in hydrating and adding volume to your skin.*
- Juvederm™ is made using a unique manufacturing process that results in the highest
concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid of any currently available hyaluronic acid dermal filler.
This cross-linking equates to long-lasting results.*
- Juvederm™’s advanced manufacturing process also creates a smooth consistency gel that
fills the skin easily and provides a smooth, natural look and feel.*
- Juvederm™ may be used in a wide range of applications including:
Smile Lines, Marionette Lines, and other lines and wrinkles on the face.
It can also be used to provide definition and fullness to the lips.*
*Individual results will vary in each patient.

Is Juvederm™ safe?
Yes. Juvederm™ has been used safely by dermatologists, nurse practitioners and plastic surgeons worldwide. Because Juverderm™ is non-animal-based and fully biocompatible, allergy testing is not required in most patients. This quality virtually reduces a lot of risk of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reaction.*
The most commonly reported side effects are temporary redness and swelling at the injection site. These effects typically resolve within two to three days.*
How is Juvederm™ administered?
Juvederm™ injectible gel is injected under the skin to provide a smooth, natural
look and feel-so everyone will notice (but no one will know)! After the injection, your medical practitioner may gently massage your skin to optimize contouring. Juvederm™ is a simple and convenient procedure and results are practically instantaneous.
How can I be sure the needle is clean?
Juvederm™ is prepackaged in a disposable glass syringe with a sterilized needle.
Do Juvederm™ injections hurt?
Juvederm™ is injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts using a small needle, resulting in minimal discomfort. To optimize your comfort during the short procedure, your medical practitioner may anesthetize the treatment area.
What should clients do prior to treatment?
Clients should avoid taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John’s Wort and high doses of Vitamin E supplements for one week prior to treatment.
This will help to minimize any bruising or bleeding at the injection site. If
clients have a history of herpes or cold sores, they will be treated with an anti-viral medication before and after Juvederm™.
Are there any side effects?
As with any injection, some common injection-related reactions might occur. The most common reported side effects are temporary redness and swelling at the injection site. These typically resolve within two to three days.*
Is there any post-treatment care needed?
Normally, clients return to work, school or their usual routine. Cold compresses
may help reduce swelling and bruising. Make-up may be worn immediately after treatment.*
*Results for each patient will vary. Please remember that the information provided will not guarantee your eligibility for treatment. Consultation and medical examination must be completed before approval.
