What is Velasmooth™ cellulite treatment?
Velasmooth™ is an FDA approved treatment which combines Bi-Polar Radio Frequency (RF), infrared light energies, plus negative pressure and tissue manipulation. Vacuum and specially designed rollers manipulate and smooth out the skin to facilitate safe and efficient energy delivery. The synergistic combination of infrared and conducted RF energies increases oxygen intracellular diffusion by heating the skin. The net result increases the metabolism of stored energy (lipolysis) thereby reducing or shrinking the size of the actual fat chamber. How many sessions will I need?
Usually ten sessions scheduled one week apart will deliver maximum results.
How long is each session?
Depending on the area each session is usually less than 45 minutes.
What results can I expect?
In clinical research published in the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, 90 percent of adult women treated with the Velasmooth™ system noticed overall improvement. Almost 95 percent of the women who saw improvement planned to purchase additional Velasmooth™ therapy on other areas of their bodies after the research study ended.
Results can vary by individual and area of the body treated. As with other non-invasive no downtime procedures results are gradual and become more visible over multiple treatments. Many clients report noticeable differences after only three sessions. This will vary on client based on physical make up and part of the body. Can I use Velasmooth™ to tighten loose skin around the abdomen?
In combination with Refirm™ clients can see a tightening of loose skin around the abdomen.
Is it painful?
No. Velasmooth™ is often a relaxing treatment. The Velasmooth™ treatment feels much like a deep tissue massage. There may be initially a slight pinching of the skin, which can be eliminated by the technician through adjusting the rollers on the treatment head.
What about side effects?
There may be very slight bruising or reddening after the first few treatment sessions.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments varies based on the area of the body being treated and on a variety of personal characteristics, but clients generally see significant improvement after two to four sessions.
What results can I expect?
Cellulite is a natural part of your body, and no therapy, not even surgery, can eliminate it. The Velasmooth™ therapy, however, recontours the cellulite layers, and will smooth them out to reduce or eliminate the unsightly ridges or "cottage cheese" appearance of untreated cellulite. |
