What Radiesse® Offers

BENEFITS

RADIESSE® is a dermal filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres that are suspended in an aqueous gel. RADIESSE® fills in wrinkles, adds volume, and provides a natural-looking lift to the face. It can also provide a lift to the buttocks and help in the reduction of cellulite.

RADIESSE® is different from other facial fillers because it is the only one that provides both an immediate result and stimulates long-term collagen production. When injected under the skin, the microspheres form a scaffold through which your body’s own collagen is able to grow, and this produces a desired, long-term effect. Over time, the body absorbs the gel and metabolizes the microspheres, which leaves only natural collagen behind. These unique advantages make RADIESSE® the ideal choice for facial shaping and body contouring, along with other therapeutic applications.

WAYS WE USE IT

At Aesthetic Clinique, we use RADIESSE® injections to improve the appearance of nasolabial folds and marionette lines. nasolabial folds are the lines that extend from the outer corners of the nose to the outer corners of the mouth. Marionette lines are the vertical lines that extend from the outer corners of the mouth to the jawline on either side of the chin.

Aesthetic Clinique uses RADIESSE® to provide lift to your cheeks and add volume to your face. By injecting RADIESSE® along the jawline, we are able to redefine elegant jawlines and soften the appearance of creases and wrinkles in the neck.

Additional Benefits

NEFERTITI NECK LIFT

A Nefertiti Neck Lift offers a way to enhance and refine the contours of the neck and jawline without having to undergo surgery. A Nefertiti Neck Lift combines RADIESSE® injections with Xeomin injections to help tighten and lift skin around the jawline and neck and reduce the appearance of neck bands, creases, and wrinkles.

NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY

We can use RADIESSE® for the correction of dorsal nose humps as a non-surgical option for rhinoplasty procedures. Non-surgical rhinoplasty, also known as liquid rhinoplasty, is an excellent option for patients who are not comfortable with undergoing surgical rhinoplasty and can provide natural-looking results. Additional injections can be performed to maintain the results of your non-surgical rhinoplasty.

RADIESSE AND OTHER APPLICATIONS

RADIESSE® can be used to treat more areas than just the face. Loss of elasticity and volume in the hands can also be tell-tale signs of a person’s age. As we age, fat loss in the hands often results in veins appearing more prominent. When injected under the skin in the hands, RADIESSE® can help restore volume loss and act as a cushion between the skin and veins. This results in diminishing the appearance of veins, which makes the hands look younger.

RADIESSE® injections can be combined with other facial rejuvenation treatments in order to provide more comprehensive care and results. RADIESSE® injections can be performed along with Botox or Xeomin injections to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and restore lost facial volume. It can also be performed following microneedling treatments for enhanced collagen regeneration. During your consultation at Aesthetic Clinique, our team can go over the treatment options we offer that can complement your RADIESSE® treatment.

FROM OUR CLIENTS

I scheduled an appointment and received Dysport, then returned for facial dermal fillers for the first time ever, I had much hesitation with concerns of pain and bruising, but I experienced neither! I am in love with my results. The staff.. technique and knowledge, and the use of distracting vibration therapy during potentially painful procedures. I cannot say enough good things about my experience…

How long do Radiesse injections last?

The longevity of Radiesse injections can vary from person to person, but on average, the effects of Radiesse can last between 12 to 18 months. Radiesse is a dermal filler that contains calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. When injected, it helps to add volume to the skin and stimulate collagen production, providing a more youthful appearance.

Over time, the gel is gradually absorbed by the body, but the collagen-stimulating effects of Radiesse can continue to support the improvement in the treated area even after the gel has been absorbed. As a result, the results of Radiesse tend to last longer compared to some other types of dermal fillers.

It’s important to note that individual factors, such as metabolism, lifestyle, and the area treated, can influence how long Radiesse lasts for each person. To maintain the results, follow-up treatments may be required once the effects begin to diminish. If you’re considering Radiesse or any other cosmetic procedure, it’s crucial to consult with a qualified healthcare professional to discuss your specific goals and expectations. They can provide personalized advice and help you determine the best treatment plan for your needs.

What is Radiesse best used for?

Radiesse is a versatile dermal filler primarily used to address volume loss and provide facial rejuvenation. It is best used for the following purposes:

  • Butt Enhancement: An injectable butt lift with Radiesse is an ideal cosmetic procedure for everyone who would like to restore and enhance the size and shape of their buttocks but does not want to undergo a surgical treatment.
  • Smoothing Wrinkles and Folds: Radiesse can effectively reduce the appearance of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth) and marionette lines (the lines that extend from the corners of the mouth to the jawline).
  • Cheek Augmentation: Radiesse can be used to add volume and contour to the cheeks, providing a more youthful and lifted appearance.
  • Jawline Contouring: Radiesse can help define and contour the jawline, creating a more defined and sculpted profile.
  • Chin Augmentation: Radiesse can enhance the chin’s projection and definition, improving facial balance and profile aesthetics.
  • Hand Rejuvenation: Radiesse can be used to address volume loss in the hands, restoring a more youthful appearance to the back of the hands.

One of the unique benefits of Radiesse is its collagen-stimulating properties. As the calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in Radiesse gradually break down over time, they stimulate the body’s natural collagen production. This can lead to longer-lasting results and ongoing improvements in the treated area, even after the initial effects of the filler have faded.

Radiesse is suitable for individuals who are experiencing mild to moderate signs of aging and wish to rejuvenate and enhance specific areas of their face or hands.

Does Radiesse look better over time?

Yes, Radiesse can often look better over time due to its collagen-stimulating properties. Radiesse is a dermal filler that contains calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. When injected, it adds volume to the treated area, smoothing out wrinkles and folds and providing facial rejuvenation. However, one of the unique features of Radiesse is that it also stimulates the body’s natural collagen production.

As the calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres gradually break down over time, they stimulate the surrounding tissues to produce new collagen. Collagen is a protein that provides structure and support to the skin, making it appear firmer and more youthful. With the increase in collagen production, the treated area can continue to improve in appearance, even after the initial effects of the filler have worn off.

This collagen-building process can lead to longer-lasting and more natural-looking results with Radiesse. As the body continues to produce collagen, the skin’s texture and overall appearance can continue to improve, giving a more youthful and rejuvenated look over time.

It’s important to note that individual results can vary, and the longevity of the effects of Radiesse and the collagen-stimulating benefits may differ for each person.

Is Radiesse better than Sculptra?

The choice between Radiesse and Sculptra as dermal fillers depends on your specific needs and goals, as well as the recommendation of your healthcare provider. Both products have distinct characteristics:

Composition:

  • Radiesse: Radiesse is primarily composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. It provides immediate volume and stimulates collagen production over time.
  • Sculptra: Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid and stimulates collagen production gradually, with results becoming more evident over several months.

Treatment Areas:

  • Radiesse: Radiesse is often used for immediate volume correction, particularly in areas like nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and the back of the hands.
  • Sculptra: Sculptra is commonly used for global facial rejuvenation and is often chosen when a more gradual, subtle enhancement is desired. It’s used to address volume loss in various facial areas.

Duration of Results:

  • Radiesse: Results from Radiesse can last around 12-18 months, although individual experiences may vary.
  • Sculptra: Sculptra typically provides results that can last up to two years or more, as it primarily relies on collagen stimulation.

Number of Sessions:

  • Radiesse: You may achieve your desired results with one session, however, some people may need multiple sessions for desired results.
  • Sculptra: Sculptra typically requires a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart for optimal results.

Ultimately, whether Radiesse or Sculptra is better for you depends on factors such as your aesthetic goals, the specific areas you want to address, and your tolerance for immediate versus gradual results. Consulting with a qualified healthcare provider is essential to determine the most suitable treatment based on your unique needs and preferences. They can assess your facial anatomy and provide personalized recommendations.
