Preparation

Once you have decided that SkinPen microneedling is the best option, you will be given pre-and post-treatment guidelines. You may be asked to discontinue the use of certain topical creams and skincare products that could adversely affect your results, avoid laser or waxing procedures on the treatment areas, and do not subject your skin to unprotected sun exposure due to increased risk of sunburn.
Procedure
The appointment and procedure will typically take under 30-60 minutes to complete. If you decide to receive topical numbing cream, that can take upwards of 30 minutes to take full effect and, thus will extend your expected appointment time. Treatment will be administered by your provider using the handheld SkinPen tool.
Once the procedure is complete, a soothing hydrating serum will be applied. This soothes the areas treated while encouraging the natural healing process in the skin. Even after the numbing cream has worn off, most report little to no discomfort after the procedure.
Results
